Steam Technology Displays

The museum has one of the largest educational departments of UK museums.  The Great Hall contains several displays explaining steam technology.  These are labeled in detail and mapped to posters such as these displays of the Ellerman engine, an unusual steam engine configuration that lost 8 tons of steel to make this cutaway model.
